Southern Wine & Spirits has confirmed that it plans to purchase the Paramount Distillers Brokerage in Cleveland, Ohio, part of Paramount Distillers. As Ohio
is a control state where there is monopoly over the wholesale or retail, Southern Wine & Spirits will now be present in 15 of the 18 control state jurisdictions, more than any other distributor in the United States. When the transaction is complete, Southern will be present in 28 states.
