The lawyer Roberta Corrà is General Director of the Gruppo Italiano Vini (GIV). She succeeds Andrea Sartori as president of the export consortium Italia del Vino. Beniamino Garofalo, managing director of the Santa Margherita group, and Francesco Zonin support her as vice-presidents.

Roberta Corrà's career includes German companies such as Lidl and Media Markt. She joined GIV in 2012, initially in charge of human resources, and in 2014 she became general manager of Italy's top-selling wine company. "I believe that beyond the activities for internationalisation, the moment has come to look inward, to ask ourselves questions about the future of our sector and to create training and information pathways with a high level of specialisation by uniting all our competencies," said Roberta Corrà when she took office.
The new president wants to work internally on improving competencies and she is particularly keen to collaborate with national universities and research centres.

The association "Italia del Vino" unites 22 wine producers who together have a turnover of over €1 billion. They represent nine percent of Italy's total export value. The companies joined forces in 2009. Members are Banfi, Bertani Domains, Bisol 1542, Ca Maiol, Cantina Mesa, Cantine Lunae, Casa Vinicola Sartori, Di Majo Norante, Drei Donà, Duca di Salaparuta, Ferrari Fratelli Lunelli, Gruppo Italiano Vini, Librandi Antonio and Nicodemo, Marchesi di Barolo, Medici Ermete & Figli, Ronchi di Manzano & C., Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo, Terre de La Custodia, Terredora di Paolo, Torrevento, Zaccagnini, and Zonin1821. vc
