With "TAL," Kellerei Bozen is launching two new wines that will be at the forefront of their wine production. The name TAL stands for Tradition, Authenticity, and Longevity. The red TAL 1908 is composed of 80% Lagrein, 17% Cabernet, and 3% Merlot, while TAL 1930 is a white cuvée made from 69% Chardonnay, 21% Sauvignon, and 10% Pinot Grigio.
The two wines are entering the market for the first time with the 2020 vintage. The two years, 1908 and 1930, pay homage to the founding of the two wineries from which Kellerei Bozen emerged: Gries in 1908 and St. Magdalena in 1930.
TAL 1908 comes from up to 50-year-old vines from the Gries and Moritzing areas. The vines grow on alluvial soils with a porphyry substrate near the Talfer river. TAL 1930 is made from vines that are over 30 years old, located between Bozen and the Ritten at altitudes of 400 to 700 meters. TAL 1908 is now available in a limited edition of 2,999 bottles, and 1,888 bottles of TAL 1930 will be available for sale.
