Constellation Brands has sold the Paul Masson winery as well as both the Inglenook and Almaden brands to the Wine Group for $134m (€92.5m). Bbased in Madera, near where all the assets are located, the Wine Group reinforces its position as one of the largest Californian wine producers. The deal also makes sense for Constellation, which plans to concentrate on premium and luxury brands.
