585 Wine Partners in Sonoma has signed an agreement with the Gruppo Italiano Vini (GIV) to handle a new line of Italian wines called Bivio, which translates roughly as a "fork in the road”. The range includes
a Pinot Grigio, a Chianti and a Tuscan Red, all retailing for about $15 (€11). Emilio Pedron, the chief executive officer of GIV, wants American consumers to experience Italy as blend of innovation and tradition. The brand will be launched in September.
