Vincor at the Canadian Olympics

by Tony Aspler

The opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver will be toasted with wines supplied by Vincor, Canada s largest winery. A Constellation company, Vincor was chosen as the Canadian wine sponsor for the games by

the Vancouver Organising Committee. Vincor products, made by the company s facilities in both British Columbia and Ontario, will also be poured for every notable event and hospitality occasion during the games. The deal, reckoned to be worth $3 million and $15 million, allies Vincor with the Vancouver Organising Committee for their presence at the summer Olympics in Beijing (2008) and London (2012). The deal allows Vincor to use the 2010 Winter Olympic symbol on its labels.
