New president in Languedoc

Christophe Bousquet is the name of the new president of the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin du Languedoc (CIVL), elected to office on 2 July. The current president of the ODG La Clape (L'organisme de défense et de gestion) takes over the office from his predecessor, Miren de Lorgeril.

The election was "stormy", as representatives report, because shortly before the vote an exclusion of direct marketers by the Union des Entreprises Viticoles Méditerranéennes (UEVM) was decided. In the Interprofession Languedoc, producers who sell 50 percent of their production directly are also allowed to be represented in the college of merchants, a rule that the UEVM denounces.

New head at Anivin de France

Bruno Kessler is the new president of l'Association Nationale Interprofesionnelle en charge de Vin de France (Anivin de France). He took over from Serge Tintané on 24 June. He is no stranger to Anivin. Kessler was previously president of the company from 2013 to 2016. He has also been chief winemaker of Cordier by In Vivo since 2019. itp
