After the bankruptcy of Swiss Wine Communication in July, a new company has been founded to promote Swiss wine both on the domestic market and
abroad. The members of the new Swiss Wine Promotion are the 6 Swiss wine growing regions and the association of wine exporters. This structure, which will be financed by the seven members, presented their promotional strategy for the coming year last month and have solicited financial support from the federal government, explained Robert Crüll, the director of the wine office in Vaud and president of Swiss Wine Promotion. Although the new organization has less money than the old, they plan to spend three quarters of the 4.3 million Swiss Francs that they have at their disposition to support exports.
