The Schloss Wachenheim Group, one of Europe’s largest suppliers of sparkling wines, has acquired Pieroth Retail.
Schloss Wachenheim entered the wine retail trade in 2017, when they bought a majority share of Rindchen’s Weinkontor, a notable multi-channel wine retailer. Schloss Wachenheim subsequently made a complete takeover.
Pieroth Retail is a German chain with 18 national branches, around 70 employees, and an online shop, www.vino24.de.
“With their promise to make an emotional wine experience accessible to all customers any time, anywhere, the Vino wine markets fit in perfectly with our sales strategy,” said CEO Oliver Gloden. “The new acquisition has doubled our retail capacity in the German market.”
