Champagne house Louis Roederer has appointed a new head of its US business: Guillaume Fouilleron will take over from Gregory Balogh as president and CEO of Maisons, Marques & Domaines USA and CEO of Roederer's US ventures. Balogh will retire at the end of June after 27 years at the helm of the US business. He will continue as strategic advisor to the chairman and president/CEO until the end of 2022.

Fouilleron has been with the company for 24 years and currently serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Earlier in his career, he worked in New York for the French commercial office. After several years in financial consulting, he joined Roederer's US business as chief financial officer at the age of 29. In 2010, he was promoted to executive vice president and has been actively involved in the US business ever since.

Roederer's US operations include five wineries in Northern California, including Merry Edwards Winery and Diamond Creek Vineyards, and Maisons Marques & Domaines, the Champagne House's distribution subsidiary. aw
