Franck Bijon is the new president of the Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc. He replaces the outgoing president Olivier Cuvelier, who held the office for five years. Bijon has been working for the Alliance des Crus Bourgeois since 1989 and as the managing director since 2016. Moreover, he oversees the business of the Vignobles de Larose wine estate group.

The Alliance des Crus du Bourgeois represents the interests of the 249 wineries that have Crus Bourgeois status. The classification was cancelled in 2007 after wineries that had not been considered filed a lawsuit. It was relaunched in February 2020. Since then, there has been a five-year certification process undertaken by an independent jury.

"I would like to thank Olivier Cuvelier and his entire team for taking on this difficult task, which provides a strong and collective foundation for our large family," commented Bijon. aw
