The Italian Luigi Moio is the new president of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). At their General Assembly on 12 July, the members elected him to succeed Regina Vanderlinde from Brazil. He will remain in office for three years. Vanderlinde takes over the office of vice-president.
In addition, Russian was added as a sixth official language and the French city of Dijon was proposed as the new headquarters of the organisation. Up to now, this has been in Paris. The vote will take place in October this year. aw
