Mingers leaves Messe Düsseldorf

Bastian Mingers will leave Messe Düsseldorf on June 1, 2022, the trade show confirmed. Mingers will still organize ProWein from May 15-17, 2022, as project manager. Michael Degen, divisional director of Messe Düsseldorf, will then take over the management of ProWein on a provisional basis until a successor is named.

Degen is very familiar with ProWein. He headed the show from 2012 to 2016. Mingers took over from Degen's successor Marius Berlemann in April 2019 as Global Head Wine & Spirits and Director ProWein. Due to the cancellation of ProWein in 2020 and 2021, this year's edition will be Mingers' first real-life ProWein as project director.

Mingers is moving to Koelnmesse, where he will take over the Food Division. He will thus be responsible for Anuga, the first-ever Anuga HORIZON, ISM and the foreign portfolio. "We are looking forward to Bastian Mingers' skills as an experienced project manager in the trade fair business and are convinced that he will further develop our nutrition trade fairs and position them excellently in the international market," said Managing Director Oliver Frese, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse.
