International wine media and events company JamesSuckling.com has a new CEO. Gavin Jones is now heading the business and will manage the global staff of 17. Jones worked for Jebsen Beverage Co., Hong Kong’s largest beverage company, for 25 years, helping to build Jebsen Fine Wines into a leading beverage importer and distributor in China. Jones retired from Jebsen in December last year to establish GRJ Beverage Consulting, a firm which helps select beverage brand owners grow their business in Asia.
Suckling himself said of the new hire: “Gavin is an important part of my company’s plans for the future bringing some of the best wine content and ratings in the world as well as high-end wine events and masterclasses for the consumer and trade around the world.”
Jones will be based at the JamesSuckling.com headquarters in Hong Kong. kw
