The globally active logistics company Hillebrand continues to expand. After it was announced in May of this year that Hillebrand was taking over the majority of the French company VignoblExport, the company is now reporting another addition with the acquisition of the Portuguese logistics service provider Unedecom. The company, with operations in Lisbon, Porto and Sintra, specialises in the transport of non-hazardous bulk liquids and dry bulk products.

"We are constantly looking for ways to further improve our global service offering to our customers," said Cees van Gent, CEO and chairman of Hillebrand. "Unedecom's strong market position in the Iberian region, coupled with its long-standing expertise and track record in handling non-hazardous bulk materials, provides a unique opportunity to strengthen our teams and services."

"By joining Hillebrand, we can offer our employees and customers a unique opportunity for further growth," says Miguel van Uden, founder of Unedecom, who has built the company over the past 25 years.

At the end of 2020, Hillebrandt had acquired Braid, a global logistics company based in the UK, which also specialises in the transport of liquids, thus strengthening its position in this area.

Hillebrand was founded in Mainz, Germany, in 1844. According to its own figures, the company generates a turnover of around €1.3 billion with a team of 2,700 professionals in 90 countries. ed
