Celebrity-owned wine brand Avaline – the pet project of Cameron Diaz and friend Katherine Power – has recently added a sparkling rosé to its line, which already boasts a red, white, sparkling and rosé. The sparkling rosé is made from organic grapes, is vegan-friendly and is made from a blend of Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Parellada and Monastrell.

Diaz and Power founded the range after learning about products and processes used in winemaking. The entire range of wines is touted as “clean” and “free from added colors, concentrates and unnecessary sugars.” And it is not without its critics, with several stating that the celeb-label is simply using recycled marketing tactics and playing to those who will shell out more cash for products they perceive as healthy.

Avaline wines can be found in 43 states in the US. The tasting notes on the Avaline website describe the wine as having “aromas of rose petals, stone fruit, and the slightest touch of pomegranate.” Retailing for US$25 per 375 mL bottle, the wine is produced by Raventós i Blanc in Penedès, Spain. kw
