The E. & J. Gallo Winery is the largest wine producer in the world and at the same time firmly anchored in the USA – until now. Gallo's "Barefoot" line has now been expanded to include a Riesling from the German wine region of Pfalz.
"Barefoot has many fans in Germany who love our range of varietal wines. Also, Germany produces great Rieslings, so for us this was the perfect match. We always want to deliver the best to our customers," Gallo tells Meininger's, explaining the motivation for the Riesling.

For the time being, however, the Riesling is only available in Germany. Gallo has already added wines from Chile and Australia to Barefoot's assortment, but in Germany, only wines with an address of origin in California were in the portfolio until now. In the USA, the Barefoot range includes a Riesling from California.

With 15 grams of residual sugar, the Riesling is in the semi-dry range. Twelve percent ABV and 7.6 grams of acidity promise a fresh taste. The RRP for the wine is €4.99. cg
