Australia - Leaving Grapes on the Vine

In Australia, some wine producers are planning to leave red wine grapes on the vines in 2023.

The reason is the very high stocks of red wines, caused among other things by the problems with China. Domestic demand is also falling. It doesn't help that the world bulk wine market is still struggling with logistics problems at the moment, and hardly any new business is being done. At least for white wines, however, demand and prices have remained stable so far.
