Domaine Clarence Dillon, Bordelais trading house and owner of the Premier Cru Classé estate Château Haut-Brion, has taken over Château Grand Pontet (Saint Émilion Grand Cru Classé). This is what industry media report, citing insider information from a wine critic.

Domaine Clarence Dillon started its activities on the right bank of the Gironde in 2011 with the takeover of Château Quintus. With the takeover of Château Grand Pontet, these activities are now to be expanded, especially since the terroir of the estate is highly praised in expert circles. The purchase price has not been disclosed. The takeover could not be confirmed by Meininger’s Wine Business International at the time of going online.

Domaine Clarence Dillon is run by the Dillon family, based in the USA. sw
