As this year's en primeur campaign has gradually gained momentum, more and more châteaux are announcing their en primeur prices, which are mostly higher than those of the previous vintage. Meininger's Weine Business International has compiled an overview based on Liv-Ex data.

For the first time in several years, the en primeur prices of the 2019 vintage declined for many producers from the previous yearThis development has largely reversed after the presentation of the 2020 wines, which are generally judged to be very good. Although not all châteaux have published their prices yet, the trend is clearly visible. The sudden price increase of Château Lafite Rothschild has also caused a stir in the French media.

The pricing is inconsistent. While some châteaux have increased their prices moderately, others have increased them sharply. Only in rare cases, such as at Lafon Rochet, have they been slightly reduced. sw
