In the run-up to the event, the organisers say that exhibitors from 45 countries have already registered and that the aim is to establish the event as the primary international meeting place for the wine and spirits industry.

Wine Paris, originally an exhibition with a distinctly French accent, is expecting around 3,100 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors in 2023. This would be another significant increase over the previous year. In February 2022, almost 2,900 exhibitors and 26,000 trade visitors came from 109 countries.

In addition to its increasingly international character, Wine Paris still sees itself as a showcase for the French wine world. "The French wine marketing associations are more determined than ever to join forces and participate in this major event, so that all French marketing associations and wine regions are gathered under one roof at the same time", the press release says.

Given the fact that ProWein 2023 in Dusseldorf opens its doors just over four weeks later, it will be interesting to see which regions and producers choose to be at both fairs and which favour one over the other.
