After wine companies and marketing organisations from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand missed the fair this year due to the pandemic, they are coming back in 2023. The 2023 edition will again take place in 13 exhibition halls, three more than in 2019, which was the last fair before Covid.

According to the organisers, the current booking status underpins ProWein's role as the world's leading trade fair for wine and spirits. "Above all, the extremely high level of internationality on the supply and demand side is the unique selling point of ProWein," says Michael Degen, Executive Director Messe Düsseldorf.

This year the fair was not held in March as originally planned, but in May. In the end, about 38,000 visitors and around 5,700 exhibitors from 62 nations came. In 2019, a total of 6,900 exhibitors were registered and about 61,500 visitors came to Düsseldorf. Visitors can already register for 2023, but the ticket shop is not yet open.
