“Oenoalliance is a perfect complement to our business,” said Frank Crouzet of Castel. “It has a number of wine brands, as well as partnerships with chateau properties, mostly in Bordeaux, and produces 40 million bottles of wine annually. It also has a range of clients, and is present in all sectors – wine shops, wholesalers, supermarkets, the CHR [café, hotel, restaurant] trade," he said.
Oneoalliance was founded in 2000 and represents several family run negociant businesses - including André Quancard André, Vinyrama and Promocom – as well as a company called Socav, which was not bought by Castel.
The Oneoalliance business, which has the potential to produce up to 70m bottles annually, will continue under its own name. "Now, it is up to us to find markets that will best use this full potential," said Crouzet.
