Ancient red wine found

by Wine Business International

Archaeologists have uncovered a 2,400 year old wine in Shaanxi Province in China. According to the China Daily, the archaeologists unearthed a sealed bronze pot containing two kilograms of red liquid during an excavation of an ancient tomb in Baishui County, built in the Warring States period (475BC-221BC). Wafts of the ancient vintage reportedly greeted them when they opened the pot.

The find has been sent to Beijing for testing.
