Meininger's Wine Business International is the first truly global wine business publication. With a network of well-known and highly-respected correspondents around the world, we shall keep you abreast of the important developments in the worldwide wine market, not only in print, but also digitally through our weekly email newsletter. Jane Anson is based in Bordeaux, for which she wrote the chapters of www.winetravelguides.com, and is author of a guidebook to Bordeaux (fisherstravelsos.com). She also writes for the Telegraph, the Irish Independent, the Melbourne Age, Decanter, Wine & Spirit, Food and Travel and Gourmet Traveller as well as lecturing internationally on wine tourism.

Luis Antunes studied mathematics and computer science, earning his PhD in 2001, and now teaches artificial intelligence at the University of Lisbon. An avid reader and taster, he began sharing his thoughts about wine in 1999. Since 2003 he has written regularly for the Revista de Vinhos, Portugal's leading wine magazine. Tony Aspler has been writing about wine since 1975 and is, today, one of the leading experts on Canadian wines and their domestic market. Wojciech Bonkowski holds a degree in Italian literature and a doctorate in musicology. He turned to wine tasting in 1998 after a good bottle of claret. He is deputy editor of the leading Polish wine magazine WINO and co-author, with Marek Bienczyk, of the Polish Wine Guide, covering 15,000 from 30 European countries. Dr. Bernard Burtschy is a professor of statistics at two of Paris´s most prestigious universities. Bob Campbell is generally viewed in the international wine industry as Mr New Zealand. He holds the Master of Wine qualification and is the current Columnist of the Year from the Magazine Publishers Association. Cees van Casteren is a Dutch journalist, wine judge, consultant and author of seven books. He started his career in the wine business as a specialist for yeast, enzymes and bacteria, was later editor of the wine magazine Proefschrift and since 2004 of Perswijn’s Supplements. Following a stint at the wine merchant Oddbins, Andrew Catchpole joined Harpers Wine & Spirit Weekly, rising to deputy editor before moving into the editor’s chair at Harpers on Trade restaurant magazine HOT. Based in London, Andrew now writes on wine, restaurants and travel for numerous publications including the Telegraph, Guardian, Glasgow Herald and Decanter.

Chantal (Chung Chan) Chi has written about the world of wine for over a decade. Currently living in Shanghai, she is responsible for the wine column in Century 21, one of the business newspapers in China, as well as a contributor to Decanter China and to other publications throughout China, Taiwan & Hong Kong. Her current project is the completion of two more books on the wines of the New World and on the wines of Spain & Italy for the potential Chinese wine consumers.

After studying business administration, Jung Yong Cho became a banker, auctioneer and then wine writer. In addition to his columns for Money, Donga and Posco, he lectures on wine at university. After graduating in mechanical engineering and economy, Šárka Dušková started her career in business consulting. Fascinated by wine, she transformed this passion into a profession and in 2002 founded, together with her husband, the magazine Vino Revue. Michael Fridjhon is South Africa´s most widely consulted authority. He is chairman at the South African Trophy Wine Show, visiting Professor at the University of Cape Town, past chairman of the South African Wine Industry Trust, has written or contributed to over 30 books and writes for numerous publication around the world.

Dr Caroline Gilby MW is a freelance writer specialising in Eastern Europe. She has contributed to the Wine Report, the Oxford Companion to Wine, Hugh Johnson's Pocket Book and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Wine Research. She has a PhD in plant biology, but originally left science to become a wine buyer for a major British supermarket chain. In addition to writing, she now also lectures for WSET and judges internationally.

Born in London, raised in Australia and educated in Paris, Ned Goodwin’s fervour for wine came through art. Before moving back to Tokyo where he serves as wine director for Global Dining, he spent three years as a sommelier Manhattan. He went on to host his own Japanese television show, appears as guest lecturer at one of Japan`s prestigious universities, Keio, and writes for journals including the New York Times, WINART, The Japan Times and Vinotheque.

Robert Gorjak was raised in a wine making family in present day Slovenia, becoming familiar with wine in his formative years. His passion was stirred the late 80s when he had the opportunity to taste alongside professional judges. His first article appeared in 1994. Since then, in addition to writing, educating and consulting in Slovenia, he has contributed to the Oxford Wine Companion as well as to the Hugh Johnson Pocket Wine Guide and Atlas. Thomas Ilkjaer has lectured on, and written about, wine since 1997. Stockholm based, he's a staff writer at Denmark's Vinbladet and freelances for magazines in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Lithuania. Kevin McCallum is a business reporter covering the wine industry for The Press Democrat, a New York Times-owned daily newspaper in Santa Rosa, California. He's also done a stint pouring wine for a Sonoma winery. Over more than a decade as an award winning journalist, his work has appeared in a number of newspapers and magazines, including The Washington Post.

Charles Metcalfe was one of the founders of WINE and the International Wine Challenge, of which he is still co-chairmen. Peter Moser from the eponymous wine dynasty in Krems is Austria’s most well-known wine writer. Not only is he the chief wine editor for Falstaff, the most widely sold wine and life style magazine in the country, but he also writes their annual guide to Austrian wines, which has been translated into both English and Russian. For the past ten years Yevheniya Rodionova has been working as a journalist with Drinks+, the leading Ukranian drinks business magazine published in Kiev. Beyond the Ukraine it is distributed in Russia and the United States as well as being seen a major wine events throughout Europe. As the coordinating editor of the magazine, she has traveled to most wine regions and was recently a jurist at the Vinitaly International Wine Competition.

Arne Ronold MW, Norway’s only Master of Wine, has been the editor of the Norwegian wine magazine Vinforum since 1996 and head of the Norwegian Wine Academy since 1998, both of which he founded. He lectures sommelier students at the Culinary Institute of Norway and teaches WSET diploma students in several European countries. He is the author of many books.

Othmar Stäheli is the editor of the Swiss Wine Magazine that appears in German, French and Italian for the Organization of Swiss Wine Merchants as well the Ami du Vin, written for consumers. He is will known there as a critical observer of the local wine market. In the 1990s he also ran the national commission promoting Swiss Wines and has been a board member of “Expovina” in Zürich, Switzerland’s largest wine fair for over two decades.

Jenny Tan is an independent wine writer, who contributes to the weekly wine review column for The Straits Times, the national newspaper. Born and bred in Singapore, she also works on the wine pages for several magazines in the region, such as The Edge, Appetite and Silverkris. After completing her university studies in agribusiness and marketing Elissaveto Velianova taught agricultural economics in England before returning to her native Bulgaria, where she became marketing and public relations manager for Domaine Boyar. Larry Walker is based in San Francisco, where he writes on wine, food, spirits, travel and environmental issues. He writes on a regular basis for several international wine magazines and has a number of book credits. His latest book, Wines of the Napa Valley, published by Mitchell-Beazley, was short-listed for International Wine Book of the Year in 2006.
